Sun Li (孙立, Tôn Lập) is a fictional character in the classical Chinese novel Water Margin. A military officer serving as a Garrison Commandant in Dengzhou, he is skilled in martial arts, particularly the use of the mace and spear, earning him the nickname ‘Sick Yuchi’ (referencing the legendary Tang Dynasty general Yuchi Gong). Despite his official status, his ties to his younger brother Sun Xin (孙新, Tôn Tân) and his wife Gu Dasao (顾大嫂, Cố Đại Tẩu) eventually lead him to join the outlaws of Liangshan Marsh. Sun Li is characterized as a tactical strategist, often acting as an infiltrator due to his credible position within the government military.

Sun Li’s most significant contribution to the Liangshan cause is his pivotal role in the infiltration and subsequent downfall of the Zhu Family Manor. Tasked by his friend Luan Tingyu (栾廷玉, Loan Đình Ngọc) to assist the government, Sun Li uses his status to gain the trust of the Zhu family. By pretending to defect to the outlaws, he facilitates a coordinated attack from within, leading to the destruction of the manor. After the Liangshan forces consolidate, he joins the 108 heroes, ranking 39th as the Earth Brave Star (Địa Dũng Tinh). He serves as a cavalry commander, participating in major campaigns against the rebels Tian Hu (田虎, Điền Hổ), Wang Qing (王庆, Vương Khánh), and the southern leader Fang La (方腊, Phương Lạp). Following the victorious campaign against Fang La, he remains in the government service and returns to his post in Dengzhou.
