Biography & Historical Record
Geng Su (耿宿, Cảnh Tố) was a distinguished nobleman, imperial courtier, and prominent scion of the legendary Fufeng Geng clan (右扶风茂陵耿氏) during the early Eastern Han Dynasty. He was a son of the illustrious founding hero Geng Yan (耿弇, Cảnh Yểm), the Marquis of Haoxi who stood second among the celebrated Yuntai 28 Generals.
Growing up in the imperial capital Luoyang, Geng Su received classical Confucian education and training in cavalry strategy appropriate for the noble scions of Fufeng. Alongside his brothers Geng Zhong (耿忠, Cảnh Trọng) and Geng Bing (耿秉, Cảnh Bỉnh), Geng Su served the Eastern Han court with loyalty and dignified restraint. He played a vital role in maintaining the ancestral rites and estates of the Haoxi marquisate, providing steady leadership for the lineage that would later produce heroic figures such as the Han martyr Geng Ji (耿纪, Cảnh Kỷ).
