Quan Rou (Toàn Nhu) was a native of Wu Commandery. During the twilight of the Han Dynasty, he served as the Magistrate of Guiyang. When the regional warlords began to rise, Quan Rou abandoned his post and returned to his home region. He recruited a private army of several hundred men and joined forces with Sun Ce during his campaign to pacify the regions south of the Yangtze River. His contributions were significant in stabilizing the Jiangdong territory against both local bandits and Shanyue tribes. Throughout his service to the Sun family, he held positions such as Governor of Danyang and General who Pacifies the West, maintaining a reputation for loyalty and military administrative capability.
