Biography & Historical Record
Zhu Jun was a prominent military general and official during the late Eastern Han Dynasty. Born into a poor family in Kuaiji, he gained a reputation for filial piety and scholarship before entering officialdom. He rose to national prominence during the Yellow Turban Rebellion, where he served alongside Huangfu Song and Lu Zhi. He was highly regarded for his ability to suppress rebellions and his political integrity. In his later years, he served as the Minister of Works under the influence of Li Jue and Guo Si, eventually passing away while in office.
Role in Romance of the Three Kingdoms
In Luo Guanzhong’s epic, Zhu Jun is portrayed as a loyal and capable imperial commander. He plays a pivotal role in the early chapters, coordinating with Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei to suppress the Yellow Turban rebels. He is consistently depicted as a dignified figure who remains committed to the Han throne amidst the collapsing order of the empire.

Chapter 2
- Zhu Jun (朱儁, Chu Tuấn): Zhu Jun is one of the Han commanders sent against the Yellow Turbans. He receives command of a large imperial army and joins forces with Lu Zhi and Huangfu Song. Zhu Jun attacks the rebels in the south and helps recover major cities from Yellow Turban control. He is one of the principal generals responsible for suppressing the rebellion.

Early Career
- Zhu Jun (朱儁, Chu Tuấn), courtesy name Gongwei, was a major general and administrator of the Eastern Han. He was known for his military ability and repeatedly fought rebellions threatening the Han government.

- Zhu Jun campaigned against local rebellions in Jiaozhi and other regions. His successes earned him promotion and established him as one of the Han’s principal field commanders.

- Zhu Jun defeated the Yellow Turban forces at Wan and helped restore Han control over Nanyang. His campaign was one of the major military successes of the rebellion’s final phase.

- After Dong Zhuo (董卓, Đổng Trác) seized control of the court, Zhu Jun opposed his political dominance and sought to preserve the authority of the Han government. He died in 195 after a career spanning the major crises of the late Eastern Han.
