Wu Jing was a military official serving the Sun clan in the late Eastern Han dynasty. He was the younger brother of Lady Wu, the wife of Sun Jian, which made him the maternal uncle of Sun Ce and Sun Quan. During the chaotic period following the fall of the Han central authority, Wu Jing played a crucial role in consolidating the Sun family’s power in the Jiangdong region. He was instrumental in supporting his nephew Sun Ce’s expansion, serving as the Administrator of Danyang and eventually rising to the rank of General of Cavalry. He passed away in 203 while stationed at the front lines.

- Wu Jing (吴景, Ngô Cảnh): Wu Jing is Sun Jian’s brother-in-law and the uncle of Sun Ce and Sun Quan. When Liu Yao drives him from his position in Danyang, Sun Ce uses the situation as a reason to seek troops from Yuan Shu. Sun Ce presents his father’s imperial jade seal as security and asks for an army to rescue Wu Jing and recover his family’s position. Wu Jing’s predicament therefore helps trigger Sun Ce’s rise in Jiangdong.
